Scott's Notes:

• What started as a slump amongst our wings has spread to include all of our guards as well. It's hard to win when that much offensive firepower all turns off at the same time.
• I'm not going to harp too much on the decision to not play Wemby an extra 15 seconds. We already know. Instead I just want to say... man, Wemby was great and I can't wait until he can go a prolonged stretch playing full minutes.
• Props to Sochan. He stayed ready, made the most of his opportunity and had an impact on the game. I think he should get Bryant's minutes at this point (but not necessary any more than that) until Devin is back to absorb all of those anyway.
• Worst game I've ever seen Fox play. I gave him a two because almost delivered us a win by waking up in the last 2 minutes, but he got tunnel vision on the last play (and yeah, Mitch should have called a timeout and gone for a quick score where we would still have time to foul and try again if necessary). But unacceptable from De'Aaron and I hope he realizes it.
• Also one of the worst game I've seen from Castle. Absolutely atrocious and the style of play he wants to play doesn't seem to mesh with the style we need to play. Mitch needs to have a talkin' to him.
• Let's beat the damn Lakers tonight and get back on track.

• @spurraider21 - Wemby - 5. What more could you ask for him giving the stupid restrictions? He's ready to play. Let him go tbh. Scored effortlessly and has gotten comfortable with the Dirk/KP component of his game which is going to be his best weapon to beat teams going small against him.
• @CrustyCoastBendFan - All the Players Get a C. Why? They battled back in a “who cares” game against a “who cares” opponent. Wemby gets an A because, despite being literally shackled by the outdated TOSB medical philosophy of the supposedly all-powerful Spurs voodoo doctors, he still managed to score 30 points in just 21 minutes. Mitch Gets an F.
• @brazil - Somes 4s and 5s (Champ, Victor, Sochan, KJ) but too many 1 and 2s (Mitch, Castle, Barnes, Fox)... we have a roster with lots of ups and downs lately, need to stabilize dat shit
• @spurs10 - Very winnable game with better coaching. Sochan played with hustle, but still can't shoot so well. Fox taking that last shot surrounded by many defenders because they knew he'd never pass and was going to shoot no matter what. Easily blocked and there was the loss. If Wemby plays the last 90 seconds we likely win. I bet Memphis was elated by Mitch's coaching. Castle is playing very poorly of late. HB not helping.
• @Correct Crusader - Get this LOSER Sochan off my team.
• @LeBowen - I'm too upset to write anything

Sochan was ready and he put in some good minutes but there is no way he should have been in the game during the last two minutes. He was undefended for a reason and the result was predictable.

Hoping the Lakers game quickly gets the bad taste out of my mouth.

Also hoping Sochan continues this version of Sochan. Maybe even hit a 3. That would be a major silver lining of this game, to say at least our polish prince is resuscitated.

Mitch also shit the bed, if he had hard stop instruction for Victor at 21 min, keep enough minutes for him to finish the damn game.

Thanks, Community Graders and @scott, for your dedication and persistence in adding to the fund of community observations. Only saw part of the game: even my wife said there's something discombobulated going on with the team now.

Wonder if 'The Book of How To Beat the Spurs' is in common circulation and Maestro and the M's haven't adjusted yet. Could Devin be that much of a difference maker? Even Dylan is being headed off at the bucket frequently.

FWIW, in my POV, VW would have gotten a 2, 3 at best. It's a team game and losing to a below average team gets you a below average grade, no matter what stats a player racks up.
