Scott's Notes:
  • We did it gang... made it to the ASB. 22 games over .500 and +4 in the loss column for the second seed in the west. Damn, I forgot what it feels like to be this good.
  • Keldon, Fox, Harper were all so good this game. Also thought CB was fantastic in his minutes.
  • Fox in particular, it was good to see him able to "turn it on" when needed. His PTS/36/USG (which you'll know is a favorite metric of mine if you pay attention to the Sunday Stat Sessions) was well over the "elite" mark of 1.0 (1.24 to be exact) as his scoring wasn't the result of just high usage play. He only had USG% of 24.4, which is still relatively low but was his highest in nearly a month when he had 32.2 against MIL on Jan 15. This was just clean, efficient scoring out of Swipa. He also paired that highly efficient scoring with an AST% of 40.2!!!
  • Not going to be too hard on Castle, probably a game he should have sat out after that fall yesterday. He did have a very clutch OREB and put back late last night.
  • Props to Mitch to recognizing Castle wasn't in it and sticking with what was working to close the game. Dylan is getting more closing opportunities when he earns them and I love it.
  • Lastly, thought Vassell and HB played really good games though it doesn't show in the typical ways we expect them to show up in the box score.
  • Too much chucking 3s in the first half and to start the third though. As soon as we cut that shit out we took over the game.
What You Said:
  • @LeBowen - Job done as soon as we realized we don't need to chuck 3s considering their awful paint defense. Keldon and Harper being decisive for momentum change.
  • @Correct Crusader - Fuck Draymond FOREVER
  • @Snake Eyes - Castle was rough. Giving him a 2 for giving it go after that nasty fall. He is fearless. KJ had another heart and soul game. Put the team on his back after being down by 16. Not going to lie, I was cringing when Mitch brought HB back in the 4th. But he stepped up!! The Spurs are 38-16 going to the All-Star break! Excited for the rest of the season. Giddyup!
  • @Fabbs - What a comeback, excellent Win.
  • @Robz4000 - Spurs were on their way to getting embarrassed before Keldon and Dylan put the team on their backs and Wemby/Fox tagged along for the ride tbh. Also props to Mitch for finally getting angry after that embarrassing Green And-1.
  • @mazerrackham - The great thing about having an elite 3-headed lead guard rotation is when there's a game when one of them don't have it you just let the other two take over. Tonight it was castle that didn't have it but the team didn't skip a beat leaning into Fox and Harper. The downside is when there's a bad night from more than one, or a good night from all three, you have to make more difficult decisions, but I'll take those problems over the previous years problems of Branham, Wesley, and Tre Jones (even though I still love him, he's a limited player) any day.
  • @spurs10 - Six in a row. Good work Spurs. Knew we would need a big game from Fox and the bench, led by KJ. Harper was strong, per par.
  • @spurraider21 - - Mitch rode the hot hands of Keldon and Harper to allow us to come back. I didnt love him going back to Castle late, but he did have a big putback score. I also hate this pattern of Bryant getting his 9 minutes in the first half and then get 0 burn in the second.

The community grades were wayyyy too harsh on Barnes. He was lowkey the best player last night.

And since we are at the ASB this is probably a good time to post the dashboards.

It should not come as a surprise, but Wemby has the highest cumulative grade to date.

Korndog is most consistent regular rotation player though!

Here is the dashboard that allows you to look at multiple players at once:

Awesome work Scott.
Really look forward to reading these.
Can’t even imagine the time and effort required to implement something like this with fan feedback also playing such a huge part.

Thanks for that! Love to hear that people actually appreciate this! After getting it set up, it's actually not too much work at all to post these but I'm definitely glad people enjoy them because it was a bit of work up front (though I quite enjoyed it)
