Can we call dibs on some of the easier games left or something? I wanna get in the positives before the playoffs, that game against the Nets looks like prime time for "popping the cherry" :st-hungry:

I’m good for a while tbh
WYM, you're starting the thread for the Pistons game next week, of course!! :st-lol:

I started the Raptors GT only because you guys had more than a day and noone bothered with it.

Nah, Raptors are far too good a team to risk it, nevermind the 9-game win streak on the line. I'm taking Nets, Wizards, or so, those hunting in the zoo kind of games lol

Legacy points deducted, tbh.

I thought about starting the Raptors game thread, but then I remember when I said this:

imho, there should be some basic decorum observed when starting game threads:

1) our previous game must have ended
2) our opponent must have completed all of their games prior to the game against us

Any GT that violates these rules angers the basketball gods
So... completely understandable that no one started the Raptors gamethread yesterday (though I don't think anyone was actually purposely abiding by these rules...)

lf we're being pedantic, I started the GT around 7 hours after their game ended. :D
I think opponents playing us on a B2B should be exempt from those rules.
Unless we're on a B2B, I think the GT should be up 24h before the tip-off.

I'm not saying you started the game thread in error, I'm saying there wasn't "more than a day" for other people to start it.

Exception request denied (though people can do whatever they want... there are no real rules lol... but I personally don't believe in starting GTs until both my conditions are satisfied. Pair these up with @Exstatic's flow chart if preferred)

The Knicks play the Bucks tonight. In observance of the Written Rules, I'll refrain from starting the next GT until the game ends [which means tomorrow morning as I'll be sleeping through the game].

Can't be risking shit with an 11 win streak on the line:st-angel:

I guess there is are actually a few more rules that make up my own person belief system but are by no means rules for the forum... folks can do what they like, but if we lose they will have to suffer the guilt of angering the basketball gods for the of their days (RIP to whomever started the 2013 Game 6 GT).

1) our previous game must have ended
2) our opponent must have completed all of their games prior to the game against us
3) winner stays on - the starter of the previous winning game thread gets first dibs on starting the next one
4) cherry pickers tempt the wrath of the basketball gods, pop damnit
5) shame carries its own weight, but eventually, for the betterment of the team... some people should just stop...

Detroit isn’t a revenge or bounce back game, so Thursday’s thread is up for grabs for anyone wanting to make their bones and be a hero.

Your wish is my command

Against the Knicks?! Huuuuu that's a big ask...... But thinking it over, no matter the result, I can't go in the negatives......

At this point, gotta ride the gravy train, right? :st-drunk:

They did you wrong homie.
