First SPAM Season in a while

Yes, SPAM is finally back.

My only concern is that the #2 might be the sweet spot -- if so, you probably play Phoenix in the 1st Round rather than, say, the Clippers -- I'd take that trade.

Then in the 2d Round you stay away from Denver, Minny, and possibly the Rockets -- you play the Lakers instead. Again, I'd take that trade.

The only seeming disadvantage is no HCA against OKC if both teams get that far. But by then, I think the Spurs would be rolling.

I like the #2 seed -- and you can still get those 60 wins anyway.

and we're almost certainly going to have HCA against any team in the East too

What does SPAM mean?

Spurs Peak After March

but it never really made sense, because even in 1999, 2007, and 2014 it was really SPAF, and in 2003 and 2005 it was SPAJ.

The only season you could make a solid case the Spurs peaked AFTER March was in 2012, when we went darn near perfect in April, but even then we were almost as good in March too, and we didn't even win the championship in 2012 either (that year stings arguably harder than 2013).

When did the spam thing started? I recalled hearing it on those alt.sports.basketball.nba.sa-spurs forums back in the 90s but did it precede that?
