Analysis Any Mitchsuckers going to do damage control for these gutless worms?

Not sure if it is the coaching staff call, but i wonder if they got cute with these injuries return delays..If those guys are scrimmaging, why were they not inserted for spot minutes in a game like tonight ? Either that or Fox was simply bullshitting about his readiness to go if it was up to him when he said that some five weeks ago and Kornet ankle sprain is more severe than initially thought (similarly for Sochan and Olynyk..just an undue ambiguity about injury timelines)
There needs to be a gutless SA Media/reporters thread here. I can't believe they don't push enough and ask what exactly is going on with their players. How close anyone is from returning. What the injury was and when did it happen (Kornet). Absolute joke of a job those reporters on SA are going. Sounds like they're just a bunch of "yes" men. Do your darn jobs.

I can't stand this shit. I hope some of these guys weren't ready to play and got sat out anyway thinking they'd win the game without them. I can't say for sure it would have, but I keep thinking/feel Dylan doesn't get hurt if Fox were back playing some of those minutes. If Fox wasn't healthy, fine, but if he was, shame on the Spurs for sitting guys out.

I think Mitch Bitches might be a better moniker for this day and age. Time to let Popsuckers retire with our old coach. Just my 2 cents fwiw tbh.

CIA Pop having the team lose so they play more focused against the Lakers/Rockets
Starting Sochan at PG against Luka would be the ultimate CIA Pop move. Benching Castle and playing Keldon at PF for 32 mins or until he fouls out. How could the Lakers game plan for that?

I never, ever want to see the "No Big" line up ever again. Keldon and Barnes at the 4 is as small ball as we need to get. I guess you have to try stuff early in the season, but let's put that experiment to bed yesterday.

Somebody explain to me why we were playing zone defense with Wemby on the floor and man-to-man with Biyombo? It should be the other way around

None of the players are bullshitting. Sochan is out with a sprained wrist but has been shooting in workouts for 2 weeks. It’s the Spurs staff that’s on some BS

a guy who doesn’t know how to shoot, pass or dribble can be playing with amputated wrist. I don’t know what excuse they could make for slow rolling him in particular.

None of our injured players would have changed anything with our inability to shoot the 3.

In a league and era where it's so important, where +20pts leads can be erased in a blink of an eye, it mind-boggling that professionals thought this roster made sense to surround Wemby.

Vic needs shooting, passing and bigs to help. We brought none this summer

I'm back to my Wemby year one hot take tbh, he might have ended up in one of the worst franchise he could've ended with. (Timing wise of course)

In theory zone defense keeps Wemby in the middle to defend the rim but of course it opens up the 3 pt. shooting which was killing us. Perhaps an act of desperation.

The roster can make sense if they did things like “run plays”.

it was all improv DIY bullshit that we’ve seen too much in the last few years. Where were the screens or Vic initiating or really anything resembling strategy. They just handed a basketball to a bunch of kids with iffy IQ and said Go

Yea I didn't know PHX was that good of an outside shooting team. They're #1 in the NBA after last night and were #3 heading into the game apparently. Must be nice having that many shooters tbh.

It's an 82 game season. The whole team needs to grow and that includes Wemby , the others , and the coaching staff as these youngsters develop. Yes the team seems to have forgotten how to pass to Wemby at times , but he needs to consistently work for position and he definitely needs to become better at passing out of the double teams. Then of course the shooting comes into play and will need to be addressed.. Fox and Kornet coming back will make things easier imo and even Sochan will be a better option than Biyombo. Olynyk and Waters may even help in situations. I think it will be fun to watch this team grow and develop. Losing Harper will hurt eespecially until Fox comes back as I am sure Spurs will be very careful with his injury due to the previous Achilles injuries to other players after their calf injuries. And no more McLaughlin. I would rather see DJG get a shot at those minutes till everyone gets healthy.

I think we sucked after the "winning streak" and it was one of those nights for the Suns. We all know our shooting is a concern going forward. My biggest concern for the moment is the lack of Harper until Fox returns. I think there could be some ugly moments.

My point wasn't to exonerate Wemby, but to point that this roster isn't adapted to him and his needs, it has a direct effect on his production as well as his own efforts.

Kornet is a good signing but far from enough, it covers the back up position for 15min. Wemby needs a lot more than that with all the teams playing with 2 bigs now

82 games indeed but too many without any real value against bad or tanking teams.

The real games are the POs and it's already obvious how easy it is to game plan vs Wemby

Spurs were reading their press thinking they were good, and they were reminded that NBA teams, even bad ones, are full of the best players in the world who are capable of kicking your ass if you aren't prepared. And now they have a couple of days to chew on that.

This was a great lesson for a young team, and just in time for Fox to join them and give them a spark. Sucks to lose Dylan, but he's fucking legit. Super excited to watch this team learn how to put together 48 minutes.

I've been workshopping a few things with mitch/meeatch & bitch/beeatch. ... something something about mariachis and maestroes.

Get HB to foul out so CB gets heavy mins

I understand. My point was that it has been and will continue to be a work in progress on all levels from player development ,coaching and the front office in building the team. Yes, there are obvious needs but I believe the next step is to get everyone healthy and see who fits and who stays and who gets moved or let go. There is more work to be done . I personally believe a true rebounding power forward who can shoot is a great need. They are moving in the right direction and surely are not done building this team. And there is a guy named Fox coming back that is going to make things better and easier for Wemby.

Oh man, just checked this thread...didn't realize the meltdowns were in full swing already lol.

Suns got hot, Wemby and the rest of the team had been sniffing their own farts for a week, go next. Spurs winning 46 games this year would be a success, that would still mean 36 losses. 36 is a lot.
