Agreed. Spurs lost the game. So glad they made it to the finals and got valuable experience. Congratulations to the Knicks and Mike Brown.

It was just incompetent, not unethical when the refs blew the call on Kolek and Kornet's tangle-up, giving Maestro a tech, then reversing the call and yet wiping out Champ's three. Same with not calling out-of-bounds when the Knick was standing out of bounds in the scramble after Harper's miss...

If Latrell is there, doubt P.J. Carlissimo and Jerome Kersey probably will be. Sean and Larry Johnson, maybe. Wasn't that Ewing's last (injured) season, too.

Or 40 playoff games Bismack Biyombo? That's the purpose of deeeeep bench players, sometimes, isn't it? Especially one who can speak to your lead players in his native language and idiom about the trials and tribulations of playoff challenges.

You mean 48 playoff games KO, including conference and league final games? Twenty-six points in a game. That Kelly Olynyk?

Devin defended him a little, too. Block was something else.

Player The Uncertainty Realm of the Improved Jumpshot of Jeremy Sochan

Thanks for sharing this. Even if it's Alien Intelligence generated, it's as cogent and concise an observation and explanation for Jeremy's struggles this year as any and a good overview of Sean Sweeney's defensive principles. Another player with similar systems fit struggles is Ja Morant...

Player The "It's My Time" Busted Clocktower of Devin Vassell

Wasn't it @scott who pointed out DV's strength in making contested mid-range shots could be useful in playoff and tightly contested games against good defensive teams?

Player The unfortunately low-ceilinged Shaolin monastery of Victor Wembanyama

Steve Nash talked about this in pre-game and pointed out that it was about the minutes restriction and having him on the court at the end of the game. Victor played about seven to eight minutes a quarter for the last three quarters with good breaks to catch his wind and let him be effective.

Though the replay was for upgrading the offensive foul to a flagrant, thought the replay showed Holmgren made contact with Harper's face first. Announcers didn't pick up on it.

    RIVALRY CEMENTED

Yes. He gave up on the ad nausem "Spurs have to stop the drop coverage" comments and enjoyed discussing the details of a great game.

    RIVALRY CEMENTED

Personally, really enjoyed the banter between SVG and D Wade, especially when he trolled "deep analysts" by saying the Spurs are a whole lot better when VW plays. Did appreciate his comments late about what a wonderful game it was and what a treat it was to see both teams going at it so hard and...

Analysis How Does the Offense Change When Wemby Returns?

Was KJ out there for a few minutes as the small ball 5? Or was it HB?

Especially that sequence in the last minute or so. He was bristling.
