I don't even know what that means... I don't really follow baseball... but I know this modern Dodgers team is definitely pay-to-win. Hopefully this owner doesn't find a way to take this bullshit to the Lakers.
Oh thought you were maybe an Astros fan. Happiest for Will Klein who wasn't even supposed to be on the roster but pitched four scoreless innings to get the win in Game 3 as the Dodgers very last pitcher in the pen.

Blue Jay manager,
You didn't steal 2nd base to avoid the double play because ____?

Pretty sure the Dogs would have conceded 2b and not risked a tag resulting in Vlade busting for home plate and 5-5.
What am i missing?

They will tbh.

Thats what I thought they should have done as well honestly.
Great game.

Shame to see the Dodgers with their half a bil payroll winning again. Something they really need to clean up is how they calculate deferred money in the next CBA when it comes to the luxury tax (not that it matters, Dodgers would just pay the extra 75 million or so anyway)

Also will be FAR FAR more challenging to just outspend everyone in the NBA in this day and age, tbh.

Easily the best championship as a fan since the '14 Spurs ring tbh.

Absolutely insane series and Game 7. MVP isn't enough for Yamamoto tbh. Dodgers probably get swept without him.

Fuck the Astros and that cheating POS Springer :st-lol:

There's no rule that says only the Dodgers can spend money and take advantage of deferred salaries. They've also had one of if not the best farm system for years now and have been great at developing players, something that other FOs should look into investing more.

Instead of the Dodgers ruining baseball, maybe look at cheap AF owners who don't give a shit about winning tbh.

No doubt. Its not like the Jays were paupers, they are the 5th highest payroll team. Owners need to quit being cheap fucks, there should be zero excuses to not have a 150 million payroll (at least) given the giant media rights deals each team recieves before selling one ticket.

Just the ways the Dodgers have manipulated the deferred salary loopholes is a fucking joke in the end and needs to be reigned in somewhat, thats what you incorporate guardrails for, probably need to reaccess how they caculate your taxable salary for lux tax, will it deter? Probably not that much. Will it make the 'pauper's more money? Yes.

Dodgers spent what? 500 million on player salaries this year are are still in the black by at least 200 million.

They need a salary floor far more than a salary cap tbh.

+1000 on the salary floor. Salary deferrals will definitely be reigned in during the next round of negotiations. We're obviously heading for a strike in '27 tbh.

Its absolutely happening. If they are both smart, they will do it like last time and it really doesnt affect real games.

I see 0% chance they dont make some semi significant changes to salary structures especially regarding mandated spending.
