Let’s Talk TV: Drama, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Animation, and Everything Between

Anyone been keeping up with Foundation? Fucking amazing show. S3 finale was nuts

Season 1 with Ed Harris and Anthony Hopkins is 10/10.

Since we're talking SciFi, what's everyone's favorite show?
I have to go with The Expanse. I was so obsessed with it that I had to read all the books and novels.
For those who haven't seen it, the show has 6 seasons which cover 6 books, but there are 9 books.
Loved The Expanse even if I didn't care for some of the actors and production quality was a little meh. Great show though, was bummed when it ended.

Black Mirror is hands down my favorite.

I'm halfway through S3 right now. Wife doesn't like the direction this season took but I'm into it.

Best Sci Fi show ever? Probably Battlestar Galactica.

Three Body Problem is looking promising though, if that show continues and is good from start to end, then it becomes a contender for GOAT.
I'm a huge 3 Body Problem fan and have read the trilogy. I'm excited to see where they take the show, but having a hard time imagining they can do it justice.

The Expanse is fucking legit as well tbh. I am actually reading the books and am halfway thru the second one at the moment. Excellent reads and the show is pretty true to the books (so far)

That episode with the teenager being blackmailed because of what he has on his laptop fucked me up.

I wish the season releases weren’t so spread apart.

Waitress at my breakfast haunt is raving about Paradise.
If you do plan on watching it, do not watch or read any spoilers beforehand. I repeat: do not seek spoilers for this show.

The Expanse was fire.

Best TV release so far this year for me is a tie between S2 of Andor and Paradise.
S2 was the compressed versions of never made 3,4,5. Eveytime there was a one year jump, that was supposed to be a new season.

Loved Andor, and stumbled onitbecause a friend mentioned that it was only on Hulu for 10 more days. The ultimate binge.

Just started Paradise based on this thread. I'm halfway through E1 (I can only watch about half an episode a night of pretty much anything before I fall asleep tbh). Good stuff so far, thanks gang!

What streaming service is Paradise on?

Yeah the Expanse is good. Took me some time to get into it but when it's done setting up all the characters, the show takes off.

Anybody watch that Clipped series on Hulu about Sterling vs Doc/Clippers? I couldn’t tell if they designed it to be so campy or if it just happened and they opted to just lean into it.

Just finished that Ed Gein, "Monsters", series and it started out strong but became AHS in no time with it's cameos and tall tales. I've seen docu's on the dude prior and most of what is portrayed in "Monsters" is fiction. I'd still give it a 6-7/10 just for its cinematography and entertainment factor.

I wasn't aware this "Monsters" was a series not only pertaining to Ed Gein but Dahmer and more. I'll have to check out the other series but not sure when. I was never into AHS so some of the content is off putting.

Anyone seen the Charlie Sheen tell all? My gf doesn't want to watch it so I'll have to find time to watch it on my own. I heard from a couple clients that it's insane, his life that is. I wonder if one particular client of mine is in it considering he's best friends with Charlie; he's an ex-mlb player and they met at a game years ago. I didn't believe my client but he showed me video of Charlie making fun of him and his baseball career at Charlie's home in LA. The funniest proof was a photo of Charlie, my client, and Alex Jones; my client had no clue who he was and said, "that's Charlie's friend who tagged along."

Just finished Task OP. Great show and superb acting by Ruffalo. And yeah fuck Grasso but at least he sorta redeemed himself

Andor S2 was fucking amazing tbh. I had to go back and watch Rogue One after that. Makes the end of that movie hit harder knowing everything that Cassian went thru
