The last movie I watched was One Battle After Another by the legendary Paul Thomas Anderson. I highly recommend it. There Will Be Blood is my number one film by PTA and this one sits right below it at #2. IMO, the only thing it was missing was a great monologue or line by Sean Penn similar to the “I drink your milkshake!” scene in TWBB.

Right now, my next watch might be Hamnet which I hear is gaining Oscar buzz for the leading actress.

I really want to see it. Last Breath with Woody Harrelson was really good. Not winning any Oscar's but for an under sea thriller it's worth the watch

Reading Vineland right now, what it's somewhat based on.

Good Boy was awesome. Highly recommended.

My lady and I really want to watch that movie but we can't because of our biggest dog in the house. Our dog watches TV and goes crazy over other dogs. Wish she was like other dogs and dismissed the TV altogether.

weapons i have to say was a pleasant surprise. I like horror on occasion, but mostly watch when I can stream from home. This was i had to watch at the theater and one of my favorites of the year.
It was a damn good movie indeed.

Saw "Together" and I'd give it 5/10. James Franco's brother is cooler than he is but the movie just didn't do it for me. My lady thought it was great though.

Lol, my dog is the same. I just happen to have some great CBD oil to get her into chill mood.

We've thought about buying that for ours but I worry too much even though I know it won't hurt our pup. Our big girl watches TV like humans and it gets ridiculous sometimes, especially when she runs to the back of the TV to check where the animals have gone to when they run off screen. :)

I liked "Weapons" as well and thought it was pretty inventive for a horror movie. Hopefully, I will still be able to catch "One Battle After Another" theatrically. Also, I'm looking forward to "The Mastermind", the new film by Kelly Reichardt.

Saw it last Wednesday and I really enjoyed it. Didn't let up at all for 2hrs 40+min. I had a love/hate thing with Licorice Pizza.

Also saw a classic, Anatomy of a Murder with Jimmy Stewart. For an 1959 American made film it delved into racier dialog than expected in the courtroom scenes.

It's October so I've been jamming horror movies into my eyeholes as frequently as possible this month. I haven't kept up with horror flicks much in recent years so a lot of things are new to me. My favourites have been The Babadook, Weapons, and the 1925 silent Phantom of the Opera starring Lon Chaney. I also watched the two Philippou brothers movies, Talk to Me and Bring Her Back -- both were pretty impressive and unsettling. Let's see, what else, 80s flick Near Dark with Bill Paxton, X (2022 movie about the crew of a 70s porn film getting stalked and murdered), Dawn of the Dead (like Near Dark, a rewatch), The Blob with Steve McQueen... Probably a couple of others I can't recall. It's been fun.

I went and saw Good Fortune the other day. Kinda dumb and honestly the point of the movie was pretty cliche. Had a couple of funny moments but overall fell a bit flat and felt like a waste of Keanu. 6/10

Watched The Gentlemen (the movie) by Guy Ritchie. It’s excellent.

I’m fascinated by directors like Guy where you can easily identify it’s a movie made by them based on the unique style of the movie. Danny Boyle, Robert Eggers are other directors with a unique aesthetic to their movies.

I enjoyed it. I do feel like Guy Ritchie has lost his way a little bit. He needs to get back to the old Guy Richie.

Rewatched Ready Or Not last night and Samara as Grace is one of my favorite Final Girls. Bloody fun movie, and Samara is just manic animalistic in response that last 15 minutes with 100% commitment to the plot and character. Love her final scenes and lines.
