Let’s Talk Movies: New Releases and Timeless Classics

I took my kids to see Wicked: For Good. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erizo have some great on-screen chemistry even if their relationship off camera is a little...weird. I thought it was really well done, but thought they rushed the ending. I also thought the musical portion was lacking. There weren't any bangers like "Defying Gravity" or "Popular."

For those who loathe the Kardashians fakery and their latest cuckhold Timothée Chalamet:

Is the storyline for Marty Supreme strong enough to overcome?
They wanna see a new movie.

Song Sung Blue about the Neil Diamond tribute band. Husband and wife and friends in band.

Good show. Stunning the trauma they had to overcome. Dk how much of it was Hollywood'd up.

I just caught a trailer for A24s the death of Robin Hood with Hugh Jackman. Feels a lot like Logan. Looking forward to checking it out

Did anyone else think F1 sucked? Like "Pearl Harbor with race cars" sucked? I feel alone on this.

I couldn't stop rolling my eyes at the hackneyed dialogue and contrived conflicts. The racing scenes were okay I guess, but it was such a Jerry Bruckheimer cliche throughout.

Who saw One Battle After Another and what were the thoughts? I thought it was meh, but Leo was amazing, and Benicio and Sean Penn were good too.

I enjoyed it more as much as any movie I've seen in the last few years. Did not like Leo's girlfriend though.

Accountant 2

That was a trip. Interesting character played by Afleck.
The overdone shooting scene at the end is played out.
But cool story.
Q is should The Accountant 1 now be seen?

My only complaint was that the very last scene where Sean Penn was alive in brought into those offices was so, so unnecessary. I don’t get the point of those scenes.

I thought it was entertaining... not at all a good representation of F1, but I have talked to several people who are more interested in F1 now because of the movie, so go figure.

Accountant 1 was way better IMO... Part 2 got a little too cheesy for me

The Rip. 7-8 / 10
Affleck and Damon. They often do crime and police corruption well, did it again.
Per usual the way over the top bullets and cars crashing. But a good story. Suspense and Who Done It was well done.
If you see it, tell me what the last 30 seconds scene was about.

Basics.
"as police officers within the narcotics unit of the Miami-Dade Police Department. During a raid on a stash house, trust within their unit is compromised when members suspect each other of trying to steal a large seizure of cash"
