SPURS IMPROVE TO 45-17, SWEEP THE #1 TEAM IN THE EAST
What You Said
  • @LeBowen - Great win. If I had to point out a negative, Kornet hasn't been effective as of late. And noone missed Barnes, tbh.
  • @Robz4000 - Combined 6-1 against the only teams with a better record. Not bad imo tbh fwiw.
  • @heyheymymy - Spurs look cohesive and confident. Back to SPAM after the dark ages.
  • @Dbreiden83080 - A signature win for the season. And hopefully a preview of things to come, especially with Victor being completely unlocked playing more min.
  • @Rafa - Good tough win wire to wire, nice to see Vic dominate on both sides of the floor again, and if Fox can perform like that even half of our playoff games we are scary
  • @mazerrackham - I thought Fox was gonna have a start-to-finish hugely dominant game for once but he cooled off a bit in the second half, unfortunately. Still he and Victor were the definite engines of this game and they kept the pressure on the whole game. Other than a bit of a quiet game from Dylan, KJ, and Vassell great all around game from the boys. Also Carter Bryant's play makes me think that he might be ready to fully take most if not all of Barnes' minutes. It's great to have a vet like Barnes in reserve as needed, but Bryant seems ready to fully contribute now for the playoff run.
  • @spurraider21 - Wemby gets an easy 5. Dominant on both ends. Played big minutes. Attacked Duren right away when he got into foul trouble. Absolutely defined the game. MVP performance. Castle also gets a 5. His defense on Cade was terrific yet again, seems perfectly built to defend him. Offensively he wasnt asked to do much scoring, but 11 assists to only 2 turnovers? Hell yes. In a game like this, a lot of people will get 5's, including Fox. Defensively he was fine chasing Duncan Robinson around, but offensively he gave the Pistons a dose of something they were not expecting. His aggression really caught them off guard. While he was bombing away from deep early, he began to attack more, getting to the rim and his middy game. Champagnie is the last 5. He did his thing, knocked down backbreaking shots when the Pistons would overhelp our stars, and he hit the boards well. They never really went at him defensively so no issues there. Got hurt, but came back in. Hope all is good. CB gets a 4. I would have loved to give him a 5. His defensive intensity was through the roof. That alley oop finish was glorious. His athleticism was on full display. But hard to get a 5 when you only have 3 FGA and go 1-3. Still, he's gotten extended minutes with HB out and has been able to handle them just fine. Dev gets a 3. He was ok. The shot wasn't falling but wasn't a game where game flow dictated he did too much. The one stretch in the 2nd where our offense got shaky, he hit back to back shots, one middy and then a nice acrobat layup. He defended pretty well including a filthy block late, but hard to give him more than a 3 when he didn't have a tough defensive assignment and he wasn't productive on offense. Keldon/Dylan get 2's. They couldn't really get anything going. Harper looked shaky/nervous like he was playing too fast. Lost control of the ball more than once. They were ok, not catastrophic, but not particularly helpful.
