Castle the obvious and better PG with Harper eventually coming back as back up pg. Fox redundant and cant shoot the three like we need him to be as a 2 guard paired with Castle who is figuring out his own 3 shot. Fox aint improving his career 33 percent 3 point shooting at this stage of his career.

Rockets have Nets unprotected next year.

Houston might trade someone else for him, but not KD. Again, I doubt the Spurs would even consider trading him, but If you trade Fox there, though, that might turn them into a Championship team.

Ya agree. Would make them very good. But if we got KD and picks it would be good for both teams.

Neither team is going to trade players that are essentially just starting their first season with the team, so if we are talking pure hypotheticals, we might as well just trade Biyombo for prime Jordan.

I would like Fox to come of the bench. Better fit. You can’t have to average to bad three point shooting guards on the floor together. Sorry I know you paying him 50 million but he isn’t better right now than Castle at making the offense run. Castle is a natural so far at running the team.

One bad game and bro is ready to move on from Fox.

Thats some real instant gratification shite right here.

tbh a Max player earning $60mil per year does not come off the bench

For a 37 year old who hasn't been out of the 1st round in what...5 years while usually getting at least one significant injury a year for the last few years :st-lol:

As the Spurs will. But Fox is a 33 percent 3 guy, that aint improving. With Castles woes so far at the arc you cant play them together. Fox has to go to the bench
He’s 40% catch and shoot 3s, career.

Oh course I would.

Why would Houston do it tho??

Fox is massively overpaid

I don't know about other posters but I've shared my doubts very early on.

I understand how complicated it'd have been not to extend Fox bc of Klutch's influence but a max deal for a player who's game is based on his speed and athleticism who barely even dunk for the last 2 seasons and who, with age and will keep losing some of his main skill... is insane.

Not even mentioning Castle and Harper...

I'm not using his last bad game as a reference, he'll have good games but he'll never be up to his contract and already impossible to trade.

Wizards were able to unload Beal's contract, nobody is impossible to trade

In a vacuum I say yes because Durants shorter contract, position and ability to shoot matches what the Spurs need. I think Wemby would love playing with Durant as well but Spurs will not trade Fox this season though so it doesn't matter.

I think it's very doable short term because there's the "Spurs have Castle and Harper" explanation for wanting to shop him.

I fear if we wait too long it'll become too obvious it's bc he's not up to his deal. We're not talking about a player known for his shooting or play making but explosiveness

Now I'm begging Fox to shut my mouth.

Fox for Julius Randle might be worth exploring in early Feb. The Spurs will stay classy and give Fox until the 2027 deadline at the earliest to earn his contract if past history is an indicator. Fox is giving me some Richard Jefferson vibes as a competitor.

Randle is a lazy ass, ball dominant, no defense fool.

Or current jordan

Doable and realistic are two different things.

Spurs would never turn around and deal a star player who was practically begging to come to San Antonio after 20 games, 17 of which he was playing with an injured hand...unless Nico somehow gets hired by the Lakers and comes offering a new Luka package or something like that. This would set a terrible precedent for future free agents or interested players.

They'll see what they have this season and go from there. Spur aren't trading Fox and Houston sure as hell isn't trading KD, so this hypothetical is silly to even talk about.

Don't think the spurs will find a Suns level sucker to take Fox if it got to that point though. We've already fleeced the Hawks, Bulls, and Kings. Pretty sure teams are on their guard against the Spurs.

I remember the story about that Beal trade being "wow the wizards actually made a good trade that has not happened pretty much ever".
