I expect us to chip, but after mitch adjusts to the obvious zone that teams will throw at us, which I realize is inconsistent with my belief that mitch is an atrocious coach, i base it on talent alone and the fact that there are no experienced competitive teams. No idea what to expect from this team come playoff time tbh.

).GM makes the final call, but I'm not sure who's the most responsible for those picks. When you look at Wright's track record between 2021 and 2023, it is a weird one:
- He did very badly with first round picks: Primo, Sochan, Branham and Wesley.
- He did great with underdog young players: Landale, Chamapagnie, Mamu and Barlow.
After drafting Wemby, Spurs shifted their focus into developing their main prospects but players like Cissoko, Bouyea and Potter are doing well in NBA.
If Wright decides that, with the main rotation set, it's time to focus on the end of the bench, he should do well.
Yes. I remember Timvp saying this on the other site that the Spurs did a great job in identifying talent at the 28th, 29th, 30th picks but not the 11th, 12th picks where they sought to go against the established grain but made faulty choices. Only close ones right now I think are Gonzalez and Clifford. but I'd absolutely rather have CB rnThe list below are the players available when we drafted CB. I don't watch a lot of other teams' game. Is there anyone that is better than the current CB?

19. Nets draft Nolan Traoré (Saint-Quentin BB)
20. Heat draft Kasparas Jakučionis (Illinois)
21. Jazz draft Will Riley (Illinois) – Traded to Wizards
22. Hawks draft Drake Powell (North Carolina) – Traded to Nets
23. Pelicans draft Asa Newell (Georgia) – Traded to Hawks
24. Thunder draft Nique Clifford (Colorado State) – Traded to Kings
25. Magic draft Jase Richardson (Michigan State)
26. Nets draft Ben Saraf (Ratiopharm Ulm)
27. Nets draft Danny Wolf (Michigan)
28. Celtics draft Hugo González (Real Madrid)
29. Suns draft Liam McNeeley (Connecticut) – Traded to Hornets
30. Clippers draft Yanic Konan Niederhauser (Penn State)
Hopefully he's also allowed to use a second round pick on something other than cash considerations tbh.Yes. As regards Sochan, Branham and Wesley, I think Wright sought to correct himself and tried to pick too conventionally at 8, 20 and 25, all of whom had substantial flaws (Sochan's lack of shooting, Branham's lack of a motor and defense and Wesley's complete lack of scoring abilities) but had other upsides that the Spurs thought they could use.
The Spurs lucked into 1, 4 and 2 in the next few seasons and aside from the Wemby choice, Wright did have to make some informed decisions. Trading the 8th pick in 2024 was a sharp move. Selecting Castle, despite his shooting flaws, by identifying his winning attitude and fit with Wemby was still an inspired choice and going with Harper despite having Fox and Castle and not trading for Giannis was also a sharp move, even if not that difficult to take thanks to Harper's special PG/ finishing abilities. Bryant was also a good pick that wasn't an easy decision to make, considering he played only limited minutes in college but had a lot of upside.
I think Wright has now weathered the storm and is in a much safer situation where he can make an informed pick that suits the current Spurs thanks to Wemby and his cohorts. If he is lucky again.. he can pick in the top 4 and there the choice is easily made between Boozer/Dybantsa/ Wilson. If the Spurs get to pick 10/11/12..Wright can go either ways based on who is available - best fit for the team or talent with the highest upside. The draft pick isn't as essential to the Spurs' winning core as much as developing Castle and Harper further by improving on their remaining weakness (shooting) is.
I personally feel that the Spurs will go for fit rather than upside but at the same time I would prefer a younger prospect who can fit over the medium-long term rather than a low upside but better fitting senior/ much older player. If nothing.. having such young talent is useful for trade purposes if the need arises.
What’s hilarious is Wright posing for this photo and probably immediately going back to the legal department so they can issue a cease and desist to this guy (I say this as someone who has been on the receiving end of a SS&S cease & desist letter for something far less blatant than this)
Nah, you're just a liar.Fans are always geniuses who will never admit that their ideas were crap. If they had their way we would be sitting on Tidjane Salaun and traded up to take Zaccharie Risacher. They also never admit that even the supposed best front offices don't hit every pick and select duds. That's why it's a draft.
Call me a sniffer. Yall always been dopes who do.
Unpopular observation that we will never know the answer to:This was with respect to the Primo selection.
I mean as long as he isn't selling it he probably doesn't give a shitWhat’s hilarious is Wright posing for this photo and probably immediately going back to the legal department so they can issue a cease and desist to this guy (I say this as someone who has been on the receiving end of a SS&S cease & desist letter for something far less blatant than this)
