If Wemby can be an effective second/third/escape valve option behind Fox and Castle and be the defensive presence he was before his injury the Spurs are at least in the game late imo. From there the difference will be three point shooting tbh.
Normally I wouldn't care but since the Spurs haven't played in a game with legit stakes in half a decade I've been more invested tbh. Prolly will go back to not caring next season.
Wemby being out has skewed the Spurs' defensive metrics tbh. If they find a way to clean up their habit of leaving three point shooters inexplicably open they can be a truly elite defense.
