Completely irrelevant to my post. I don’t give a shit about stat-padding, so long as it doesn’t come at the expense of the team.
My post was defending his play, that he played within the game and his FG% only dipped below 50% because he took some immature shots. He played good, just wasn’t...
That 10-12’ jumper unlocks his game.
His first step and athleticism is impossible to keep out of the paint. He just needs to trust it and not try to get to the rim all the time, which will allow him to get there more often because of that shot’s threat.
Jacking up a 3 outside the offense, early in the shot clock with the opponent down roughly 20, constitutes padding his stats to me. Don’t think he shoots that if he’s already at 20-plus points, imo.
Meh.
He was mostly playing within the flow. His FG% went down with a couple immature 3s, trying to answer Flagg and trying to pad the stats as the game became a blowout - basketball gods checked him.
He’s still playing like a guard in the paint too much. Bringing the ball down to draw...
Great win.
Props to Wemby, Castle and Harper for showing out - and to Mitch with the defensive adjustment of going small on Sengun (and keeping Harper on the floor).
Gameball to Keldon.
He changed the whole game with his physicality and offensive competence around the rim - got Sengun shook...
It looks like every player on the Spurs is playing out of position - which they are. No instincts for the individual responsibilities of their position, which gets them out of position physically and looking like it’s a lack of effort.
A lot of words to say: they and/or the coaches be dumb.
Don’t understand why they’re carrying JMac when they have this dog in the bullpen. We probably win another 3 games if he was in the rotation and helped close, iibhimho.
