Yeah Vassell did exactly what he should have done and that’s not force his way into the offense. Take what the game gives you, that’s his role. Get in where you fit in. Honestly years past Dev would have jacked his way into a dogshit night.

If one or two of these guys shine and one defers then you get people complaining that the one who deferred should be traded and played like ass. Every game night a handful of our members shit the bed.

This can’t be stated enough. The league wants games to be competitive. Everything about our modern defense is built around offensive freedom. Big runs are the norm these days. But our 3rd quarters are a mess. That’s on Mitch.

Vassell should simply get in where he fits in. Capitalize on what the game gives him. I think he’s done a good job in that regard. I’d rather him exercise restraint if the game isn’t giving offensive opportunities than to force his way into the offense. I agree with the rest of your points.

Any criticism of Castle is unwarranted. He actually attacked the basket and made things happen. It wasn’t a stellar performance but it’s his first game back. I took no issue with his play.
